Does anyone know? At least once that has happened we should be over the worst of it.

May or June

Is that definitely the case? Because I thought Italy was expected to peak in two weeks and we’re two weeks behind them. Which puts the UK peak around mid April time. I may however be wrong.

Italy's peak contagion is expected around first week of April. Peak contagion comes 14-20 days after a successful lockdown with peak deaths sometime after that.
It's approximate of course because despite lockdown it's not total isolation because that could never be done. People still go out once a day for food and some of those people will have the virus and spread it. But more or less.
The 14 day figures are how far behind Italy the UK is on numbers.
But peak will depend when lockdown happens, if it happens.
