Is any else going to be wfh with young children?

As of next week I'll be wfh with a demanding 4yo and also an 8yo. I haven't got the option of working very early or evenings or weekends, but luckily I am part time so it won't be 5 days a week. Dh can't change his hours and he does very long shifts, set to get longer.

Technically dh and I have both been identified as key workers so we have a school place, but my conscience tells me I shouldn't send them in as technically they are safe at home.

No idea how it's going to work, 4yo doesn't give me a minute.

Is anyone else going to be doing this? Any tips?

Slightly different situation for me as DH doesn't work, I am having a timetable for them.

What will be the most fun will be trying to work, including making phone calls, with DS who has autism in the house, who likes to swear very regularly and very loudly.

Similar here.

Loads of screen time, I’m afraid. It won’t be forever.

I personally wouldn't send them, as every additional contact increases their chances of contracting the virus and that of the teaching staff.

I wfh and will now be doing this with a young school age child as well as educating them.

Luckily I work part time too, so will be trying to fit in a lot of the educating on the non working day, leaving the more independent activities and technology devices for the days I work!

We've also set the garden back to being usable so this is anither distraction during working hours especially.

Yup I'm full time working from home with a 3 year old. Husband will have to go to work, he is a key worker. I've already started working from home as I'm high risk and it isn't easy. When I make calls people can hear my child saying "mummy mummy mummy mummy mummy
MUMMY!!!!!"
