I wonder if Primark are regretting not being online?

I've had emails from all the clothe shops I use saying they are still selling online even though shops are shut but obviously Primark don't sell online.

They've dominated the clothing market for so long but I bet they won't after a couple of months of lock down.

Crikey they still don’t sell online?!

They would make a fortune off me if they were online.

It’s difficult- its actually very hard to make a profit from online if you have stores and the way they change lines would make it extra difficult too. The return rate from online is massive which costs a fortune. NEXT have mastered it but many of the other retailers with large store infrastructure and online are crap at it and it costs them a lot but it’s vital to compete.

It’s a bit like why Aldi and Lidl aren’t- their retail model doesn’t translate to online sadly.
