Would you go for a walk on the beach?

We aren’t self isolating. Obviously would keep distance from other people.

Yes, get out there!

Hillocrew · 21/03/2020 10:58

Yes definately. Anywhere that is a big wide open space yes.

CandlesBlanketsandTea · 21/03/2020 10:58

I did this morning, it was a sandstorm and gave me earache but it felt nice to be outside even if it was so windy.

PlomBear · 21/03/2020 10:59

And without our usual cafe stop of course but I think it’s only do takeaway.

Take a bin bag and collect some rubbish while you’re there

LambriniSocialist · 21/03/2020 11:01

Yes, if you are not self isolating, definitely.

Am assuming you are talking about a fairly quiet beach and not Bournemouth sea front type place...

NoMorePoliticsPlease · 21/03/2020 11:01

You wouldnt be allowed to in Italy

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 21/03/2020 11:02

Depends on the beach but yes, probably.

Lexilooo · 21/03/2020 11:03

If you don't have symptoms and haven't been exposed to someone with symptoms then you are encouraged to walk for exercise.

If you are or could be contagious you should not leave your house at all.

BikeRunSki · 21/03/2020 11:03

Yes. Although the nearest beach is about 60 miles away, but if it were closer I would.

MindyStClaire · 21/03/2020 11:05

Yes absolutely, provided it was quiet enough. We live by the sea and had a lovely walk yesterday and a shorter one with the buggy today. Didn't get close to anyone, gave a local independent cafe a bit of take out business. Good for the soul.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 21/03/2020 11:29

Not true Lexiloo. Current NHS advice is that people who are self-isolating are allowed to leave the house for exercise at a safe distance from others.

managedmis · 21/03/2020 11:32

Do it!

Hereforthenamethreads · 21/03/2020 11:35

Beaches here are empty. I would go.

Marcipex · 21/03/2020 11:41

Fresh air so why not?

Stormblessed · 21/03/2020 11:44

That's our plan for later. As long as it's not too busy it should be fine

LonginesPrime · 21/03/2020 11:50

Take a bin bag and collect some rubbish while you’re there

Yeah, get to work, OP!

guiltynetter · 21/03/2020 11:52

we are all self isolating in this house but plan to go to a beach that we know is always empty and huge one day this week so the kids can run around. we went there when my daughter had chickenpox too 🙈

niffynoonoo · 21/03/2020 11:55

yes absolulutley! A huge wide open space.....use it!

mumto2teenagers · 21/03/2020 11:59

We are planning to go tomorrow for a walk with the dog, going to a beach that is normally quite empty. No cafe or anything there anyway but will be taking food from home.
