should those who are not but living in the same house be at work or should we be isolating?

We’re all going to be in the house as much as possible. So both wfh and I go into school when necessary. Kids all staying at home.

Oaksquarebox · 21/03/2020 11:45

My work are not giving me the option to wfh. School is closed and DH is a key worker.

I would argue it with your employer or if it is impossible to do your job from home or around you dh’s hours explain the situation to the school to get a place.

Dp is not a keyworker but he will loose his job if he doesn't go to work. He is main earner. Ideally he'd be home with DC but until his place of work closes this is not viable for us.
I am keyworker ( part-time) and when I'm at work my DC will be at school ( 3 day a week). When I'm home, my DC will be at home.
When we aren't at work/school/ dog walking then we will be at home.

Same as me, life is normal next week, me going to work(key worker), kids going to school and Dh going to work (self employed but in contract, client has not stopped work yet.)

I am just wondering if people in our situation with a parent who has to be at home for childcare will qualify for the 80% salary scheme announced yesterday?

Dual key worker in this house. I thought I’d accepted the arrangements for our children yesterday. Today I’m not coping so well with the thought of it.

Both going to ask our different employers to work reduced hours.
