New supermarket times for elderly & vulnerable etc

I know they are prioritising for these people which is great but does that mean everyone can't enter the shop until the hour has passed? Or can we enter just not check out until they've been served?

You can't go in. What's the point if the young and healthy can get in and load their trolleys up then hang around waiting to checkout? It's so old people can get what they need.

You can't go in. I've just been to one.
It was a bit pointless though because after the hour was up they were closing to restock because they'd just had a delivery. Meaning we got pretty much empty shelves and should have gone an hour later.

I get the need to have these protected times for the elderly and vulnerable but what about people who are still having to go to work at 9am? I'm in this category, still going into work every day for the foreseeable unless the country goes into complete lockdown and I have absolutely no chance of being able to buy a loaf of bread by the time I finish work, its all gone. The only way I can buy stuff like that is to nip in at 8.15 before I start work so I guess I won't be allowed in to get it now.

That makes more sense! Do they have security on the doors now then?

Yeah they had people on the doors just opening them when people arrived and either letting them in or not.
Though I went as I'm pregnant and asthmatic and they didn't ask me why.
