Social distancing and family

I'm sure this has been done in here but can't find anything atm and just want other people's opinions.

No symptoms from anyone. No vunerable groups. Is it OK to meet close family for walks. Small groups, eg me and 2 DC meeting my sister for a walk outside.

I just feel uneasy about it. I think we should take this seriously as people could spread without showing symptoms. Also if everyone did things like this everything would be normal?!

I understand its sad and she is saying she wants to see us before everything goes into 'lockdown' and movement is restricted. But I don't want to risk it.

Am I being over the top?

The guidance from the government is to avoid ANY non-essential social contact. Seeing your sister isn't essential IMO. The more we adhere to the guidance given, the quicker we will hopefully be able to get back to 'normal'.

I agree with you both. I feel like I'm being a downer on everyone asking to see us. But like you say sooner people do this sooner we can have some normality.

My MIL is still asking to come over to our house and help with the kids when FIL has a heart condition and 'at risk'.. She saying its fine because he isn't coming!! I obviously said I'd rather her not and didn't let her come.

Whilst I'm on a rant.... FIL also took 2 neices to the park the other day because apparently it was the only option of childcare while SIL had to do something..... Ffs
