Childcare for preschooler

My DS is usually cared for by grandparents while me and DH work- him full and me part time. Due to the virus, one set of GPs has understandably said they can’t have him for the time being which is fine. The other set of GPs are younger (age 62) and in better health, and willing to have DS as normal.

I’ve been told I must work from home due to pregnancy. I can’t see how I can work with a 2 year old to care for, while also making sure he’s not neglected, but don’t want to put GPs at any unnecessary risk by sending him there!

He’s never been to nursery and can’t see that as an option at the moment as surely they’ll be closing soon anyway.

DH is having to work as normal, he’s taking a few odd days off to cover some childcare but can’t be off at all times when I’m supposed to be working.

Any advice?

Is there any flexibility to work outside of standard office hours so you could do the majority of your work in the evening?

Hi, my work is a mix of contacting people on the phone and the report writing. The former I could do at nap time I suppose and typing when my son in in bed in the evenings. He hasn’t been sleeping well recently though due to illness- something to think about though, thanks

My work have adapted my hours so DH and I can share childcare while wfh (I'm also pregnant). Can they do that for you. I usually do three days but will be doing 5 hours a day over 5 days instead
