Except for family who are brilliant only one friend out of many has asked how I am, not pitying, I have loads of family, just surprised that people I have known for years and thought cared a little actually don't. I have texted to see how they are and they have replied but no mention of how I am. You've got to laugh, a good learning curve though.

OP, please don't think they don't care. This may not be the case. I know that there are friends of mine who I haven't contacted since this all blew up.

I've been so caught up with work, school closing, job security worries, money worries, health worries, fretting about elderly relatives who have real big health issues, how to feed my family when the shops are empty, now to work from home while home-Eding DC, cancelling and losing money on hols, supporting a couple of friends who are catastrophising and suffering terribly with mental health due to the current situ, and all of the other stuff we worry about every day of the year.

I'm glad you're doing OK. I'm glad you have people around you who you love and who love you.

Please don't write off your friends, now is not the time to lose touch completely with people who have been important to you. Now is the time to pull together when and where we can. While socially distancing, obvs!
