Staying away from others, not using the play equipment.

The dog will still need walking, kids will still need exercise and fresh air.

WWYD?

Yes. There's nothing wrong with getting fresh air, it's social interaction with people outside your immediate family that needs to be limited. Doesn't mean we can't go outside xx

DH took DS to the park today and there was one other kid there. I think kids need the fresh air and exercise, you can't keep them cooped up for months

Yes we will be going for walks outside - being outdoors and exposed to sunlight (when we hopefully get some) is good for the immune system.

Yes definitely they need fresh air and vit D and as long as you're keeping your distance from other people I see no issue with it.

I think so (especially with young children needing a run!) but they’re trying to discourage it because you’re then tempted to get a coffee or nip into somewhere as it feels normal.
Plus the more people are out and about the more others will think it’s ok.

It’s still busy and normal here which is surprising. We really need a two week quarantine to see who’s got what. Things need to be told to close down for a little while.

Stick to quiet outdoor spaces only and keep up the hand hygiene.

I will be. I will jump in the car and go to places with the least amount of people possible. A lot of people will probably have that idea though

I toon the dog over to the beach tonight. What happens when you shut school, 50+ teenagers congragate on the beach to drink and build bonfires 🤔 I'm all for the shutting of schools, but why the fuck are their parents allowing that.

SellFridges · 20/03/2020 21:28

Yes, that’s allowed and needed. We’ve been walking at least once a day with our kids.

It will be trickier to keep distance next week when all the kids are off, but we will continue as far as possible. I’m hoping for decent weather soon so I can put them in the garden for several hours a day. In the U.K. we have a huge advantage over many major European cities as even in cities so many of us have gardens.

I took the kids for a walk yesterday to a seaside town. They were disappointed they couldnt play on the play area. I told them to keep a distance from people. A cafe was open. The amount of elderly people i saw in there as i looked through the window was worrying. All sipping tea and eating meals as if they didnt have a care in the world. Worrying stuff.

Yes. Fresh air and exercise are good for mental and physical health. Just stay away from others.
