In the absence of a high temperature and no cough whatsoever?

catanplayer · 20/03/2020 20:24

I thought it was 2 symptoms to worry about persistent cough and/or temp over 37.8.

Throughabushbackwards · 20/03/2020 20:25

I haven't been tested but two of the cluster of 8 people who are ill at my workplace have been tested positive. We all had close contact during the incubation period so there is little doubt.

Canklesforankles · 20/03/2020 20:25

That’s right catan.

Throughabushbackwards · 20/03/2020 20:27

I've had little instance of fever by the way. It went -

Sore throat and metallic taste
Sore throat with cough and metallic taste
Days of coughing

Cough is now different with pain in my lungs, breathlessness and extreme fatigue.

screamer1 · 20/03/2020 20:30

Over how many days @Throughabushbackwards

Throughabushbackwards · 20/03/2020 20:30

I'm 7 days in from first feeling slightly unwell.

Roostersmum2 · 20/03/2020 20:35

@Throughabushbackwards i have the metallic/dust taste too

leopardprintlara · 20/03/2020 20:37

My husband was really unwell, slept for 2 days, cough, fever and sore legs. He was ill for days. Pretty sure he had it. 2 of my dc had coughs but nothing else major one dc showed no symptoms. I only had a sore throat, headache and bit hot/sweaty.

Canklesforankles · 20/03/2020 20:41

thought obviously if you are still poorly or getting worse after 7 days, don’t go back to work.

Hope you feel better soon. It sounds awful.

I have staff off with minor symptoms and they can come back to work after 7 days if they are better.

ComeOnGordon · 20/03/2020 20:42

I had nearly all the symptoms - fever, cough, sore throat, headache but was only tested because I ended up very short of breath and was admitted and isolated. And it wasn’t Corona. There are so many other viruses out there

BogOffWinter · 20/03/2020 20:47

I’ve got a sore throat, dry cough, temp and insane headaches, sore through and headaches started a day before the temp and cough. Sorry not much help for you but it is possible he’s about to come down with something Flowers

Inmyownlittlecorner · 20/03/2020 20:52

I’ve had a sore throat for about 5 days now & my oesophagus is also burning. I feel like I want to cough but have only coughed about 6 times in 5 days. None of it has been bad enough to bother with painkillers. My temperature hasn’t gone over 37. I’m isolating with DH & DCs but I really think it’s just a bog standard cold type thing I’ve got.

Miljea · 21/03/2020 19:06

DS's temp reached 38.1 early this morning (7), but its 36.8 now. I took MN advice and used a digital meat thermometer 😂

So,tbf, the 'raised temperature' was there.

However, his throat is much better, he still has a minor headache, no cough whatsoever. Minecrafting away.

I think we dodged that bullet?

Oh bugger. Looks like you're not going to work.

PurpleCalm · 21/03/2020 19:12

I've had the sore throat/headache thing too for 5 days now. My headache has been around the temples. I wasn't sure if I was feeling a bit stressed with everything that's going on but maybe its actually a bug afterall?

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 21/03/2020 19:13

I’ve had sore throat, headache, slight dry cough, achey joints no temperature. I’m pretty certain it’s not corona but having to isolate because of the cough just in case.

PicsInRed · 21/03/2020 19:18

Mine had a sore throat so bad he cried piteously and begged for relief from it. He's very stoic and that's never happened before. Oddly enough, red eyes. Along with bit of a temp, cough etc.

Sore throat was the big one.

Lordfrontpaw · 21/03/2020 19:20

I have very rarely ever had a temperature. Of course I get sick but I think I’m part lizard as I just tend not to get a temperature.

PicsInRed · 21/03/2020 19:20

I've now caught it and my main symptom is cold like, and cough but mainly dizzy turns and feeling very, very strange. Had a slight viral rash.

PicsInRed · 21/03/2020 19:21

Me and child both mild elevated temps only. But we also run cold.

ahhdiddums · 21/03/2020 19:23

My 1 year old has just been tested (like an hour ago!) but it's taking 3 days for the results.
He's had a fever for a week. Cough the second half of the week but not a really bad cough.

Jbh333 · 21/03/2020 19:52

Met up with my parents my dad started dry coughing that day but felt otherwise fine (even had a beer) so we relaxed and put it down to dust from sawing up old wardrobes.

Next day he called worried said he felt shivery. Few days later 8 year old sent home from school with high temp. Next day I had a vvv scratchy sore throat and mild temp/aches.... next day husband had the worst he is NEVER ill and was hot, slept 10pm til 4pm and extreme headache and mild throat.. my mum also has a cough (out of us all she is the cough iest but she’s nit got a temp)

Maybe a cold maybe a bug or maybe the cv will never know...... in a area of high activity in south London so I’ll just wonder...

Greenmarmalade · 21/03/2020 19:58

My ds: cough and fever, vomiting, unwell. Me: sore throat, achy neck/back, fatigue, massive headache. Dd1: tight chest, unwell, sore throat. Dd2: sore throat, pressure in ear, tummy cramps, vomiting.

I’m a teacher and 3 colleagues have symptoms. I’m going to assume we have it, but that the symptoms vary.

Ginsmything · 21/03/2020 20:42

My DS has been unwell since Sunday. Aches and feeling shivery, pains in chest, headache, unsure about temp as he doesn’t have a thermometer. Since then developed a cough feeling nauseous and a weird taste. Beginning to feel better today finally. Not been tested but he’s a police officer and feels guilty for taking time off. I believe there’s so many people affected but not being added to the stats.
