Any other recent Ex Nurses just received their NMC invite to join the covid -19 register?

Just received it, not sure what to do. Not sure my current employers would let me have unpaid leave. I could not do frontline ITU work but could maybe free up others?

Were you previously an ITU nurse. If so the hospital will quickly train you like they have just done with my friend.

If not then probably less acute nursing.

My employer said would support us if we were called up.

No I have never done ITU but would be willing to do other stuff to free up others.

Yes, me. Feeling absolutely sick with worry. I gave up because I hated nursing, and as much as I feel I should help, I have young children at home. Nurse friends of mine are telling stories of such horrific conditions, and I feel such guilt that I can’t help ease it. I’m not saying I won’t go back, but definitely can’t bring myself to say yes yet.
