So myself and my DH work for the same company. Our youngest DS had a temperature on Tuesday evening so we text work to let them know that we would be self-isolating as per government advice.

Received an email today asking us to get in touch with them on April 1st letting them know if we were symptom free and if we were then they will arrange for us to have a corona virus test.

I emailed back to ask if the test could be arranged before this as we were hoping to return to work on that day. Obviously we are only on SSP one while self isolating so keen to get back ASAP.

Response was no they would arrange the test when we message them on April 1st and it may take a couple of days to arrange and a couple of days for the result meaning we will
Potentially be off work for a week longer than the government says we need to be providing we have no symptoms.
