Should I allow my boyfriend to stay with me this weekend?

I'm in two minds, on the one hand I haven't seen him in two weeks (work reasons) and we miss each other so much, and on the other ... the virus. He lives with flatmates and so do I. If there's a lockdown I might not get to see him for weeks. WWYD?

Nope.

What would be social distancing about this?

WhittlingIhopMonkey · 19/03/2020 18:51

Yes

My husband still has to physically go to work every day and it involves mingling with strangers. If he doesnt work he doesnt get paid. I still sit beside him on the sofa every night and lie beside him in bed.

If you were married people would never suggest you social distance, why the exception for boyfriends ? It's the same risk.

Inextremis · 19/03/2020 19:01

Absolutely NO. It's about minimising risk where possible. In this case, it's possible, so do it.

IrenetheQuaint · 19/03/2020 19:02

Probably yes, as long as neither of you had any plans to go near anyone vulnerable for 2 weeks afterwards

He's been working from home for pretty much most of this year and I have been doing the same for the past 2 weeks. He doesn't have family/elderly relatives in this country. I just don't know about his flatmates though, he lives in a shared house with 6 people!
