Keep our NHS smiling - something for your children to do

Dear all,

I'm not a mum but am an Auntie to army of nephews and nieces. As a healthcare worker myself, I was thinking of an activity your children could do that will also put a smile on the faces of those working on the frontline.

This may be a rubbish idea but I'm calling on children up and down the country, to draw a happy picture a day. The next bit is for all you mum's. Take a photo of your child holding the picture, or just the picture (entirely up to you), then tweet it to your nearest hospital with the hashtag #keepourNHSsmiling

Please spread the word.

Stay safe, and keep washing those hands.
Abi

Hi,
I work for a care home provider for young people with learning disabilities and elderly people with dementia. Unfortunately all residents are now in lockdown and unable to be visited by their families or have people come in to provide activities. I wanted to give a call out to find out if while the kids aren't at school and looking for things to do, I would love to be able to share emails, drawings, messages to brighten their day. Please let me know if you can share anything.

@lkbennett123,

I was wondering earlier if residents in care homes under lockdown are still able to receive cards/drawings/letters from the public through the actual post?
Or must it now only be via screen?

Hi, we can share via email messages or pictures etc. If you have anything please send to [email protected] and let us know if you would like to send messages or letters to our elderly or younger residents with learning difficulties or acquired brain injuries.
