Hey everyone thought I would start a post to see if there is anyone that is nearly due along with me right now? to chat about we are all feeling with this virus, potential lock down And giving birth at a time like this. I'm 37 weeks on Monday and i was early with my others so thinking I haven't got too long now. A Home birth was already planned just anxious about a possible hospital birth if I catch it and all the complications around all of this. Hoping some people will response that a due in the next few weeks or have just had they're baby this week when all this has started happening. I'm not good with mumsnet if someone could post this and tag me somewhere that it would get more of a response please

@Rhayader @Rebelwithallthecause how strange!! My son was 9 days late so I'm not sure what this little girl will be.

@sredwards fingers crossed he will be able to stay!

@Jessie9323

My first was 41+6, second was 39+0 so it can vary quite a bit! I’m really hoping I don’t go over on this one as I feel massive already 😭

Hey guys just an update and info do anyone who finds themselves in a similar circumstance. Home birth did not happen unfortunately :( I came in at 40+2 for a routine antenatal appointment and was hoping for a sweep, it was discovered that i had preeaclamsia so I need to get induced that night. They checked me to see if I would need a tablet to put me into labour or if they could just break my waters on Labour ward that way my partner could be with me from labour ward and luckily I was already 2cm so went straight to labour and partner met me there so I was lucky to have him with me threw out induction. Unfortunately after 12 hours of labour and so progress and not being able to get the blood pressure under control I ended up with a section :( totally gutted after 2 normal labours before hand but they literally saved my life so what needs must. In terms or covid rules though my partner was with me threw out the section and then stayed with me on recovery for an hour. I think usually you would go straight to antenatal ward after a section on your own however I went back to labour ward because of the PE so my partner could stay for first 24 hours with us as I needed 24 hours monitoring. I'm here until Monday on antenatal now unfortunately on my own however it hasn't been too bad and midwifes have been great. My little girl was also a whopping 10 pounds 11 ounces which wasn't picked up on! So another reason for the section was she could get out and got stuck lol crazy time. Hope everyone's else's goes well xxx
