Due to exchange on house, anyone else?

Due to exchange on house within next 2 weeks, what's already been a horribly stressful time has increased to the point my anxiety is absolutely through the roof. Can't sleep, can't stop crying. It's just typical for us really. Been waiting to be able to do this for years and now I'm so worried about this. Partner is self employed in the building trade so won't get paid if he's off like many people. Not sure about myself, I work for the NHS and information is changing daily. Anyone in the same situation and have any idea what on earth will happen?

We exchanged on Monday , but our new home is in Spain . We have had two ferries cancelled and now none are running to Spain. We have to drive through France early next week - not sure we will be allowed either in France or Spain . We are effectively homeless in the UK. I can't cuddle my mum, who is 72. I don't know when I will see her again . We also own our business in the building trade, but it's office based, we have enough work for a couple of weeks but after that - who knows . It's the most awful time but try and think positively. You must try and stay calm and think of things that you can control. Push your solicitor for an earlier exchange date , maybe ? You are not alone in this madness Flowers

@bert3400 so sorry to hear your in a similar situation, I really hope things work out for you. It's such an awful time for everyone. My partner is the higher earner so even if I was to get paid if I'm off we would struggle on just my wage. The date hasn't actually been confirmed yet which is what I'm worrying about, everything is ready but seller and their solicitor have been taking an enormous amount of time to get back to anything, I've requested next Friday but just want to know an answer, I've been in touch with my solicitor daily but she is still waiting to hear for confirmation.

We were due to exchange but I think we're going to pull out. We haven't sold our house yet and PIL were lending us the purchase price (!£!) until we'd sold. Very unlikely we'll sell anytime soon and certainly not for the price we need. Market will tank in the coming weeks I'm sure. So lots of wasted fees for us and no dream house ☹️ Good luck everyone, it's a tough time. Xxx
