Just as it says above really. Just had a long discuss with my mum on the phone about what was the best way to prevent getting infected by home delivery. She will ask delivery man to leave her shopping in the garage without coming near him and leave it there overnight. In the morning she will take the shopping inside and probably wipe it down. Couldn't find the figures of how long it can live on surface. Dh says it depends on the surface can be a couple of days. It looks like I'll have to wipe down my delivery too tomorrow!!!! Can't believe I'm considering it.

Do you know the difference between a virus and a bacteria...

Patchily. For about a week. I'm inconsistent so, to be honest, I might as well not bother.

With surgical spirit not antibac stuff.

If I could get a delivery then this may be something that would not cross my mind.

We are doing this too. Very small risk but not no risk so we are being cautious. Pp- Anti bac wipes kill viruses too.

With bleach solution, yes.

This didn't cross my mind until today. I'm still not doing it, just washing my hands even more!

I’ve had a number of Amazon deliveries in recent days and haven’t wiped them down. Could I have brought the virus into my home?

Letsdoanamechangeagain · 18/03/2020 21:32

I've considered it, but I cant disinfect the fresh food. Tins and non fridge stuff are being put to one side for several days.

But fruit and meat, they'll end up tainted and cant be left out of the fridge for days on end.

Must study my anti-bac wipes and check ingredients, I think!! God what a pain. In bed with sore throat!
