Schools shut - DH is a private tutor

I know at the moment times are scary and we don't really know what's going on.
Now that school's are shutting, DH's normal schedule is already changing with his private tutees. For what it's worth, DH's clients are well off, but I still think it's unfair to charge cancellations (as is policy) for people with coronavirus concerns.

DH teaches 11+, GCSE, and A Level in Maths, Politics and Economics.

So I have a few questions to the many parents out there:

  • given that there will be a change to exams in the summer, do you think people will even continue with private tuition?
  • is it wrong for him to do more tuition for families who want it during these times? As someone from a very poor background it seems unfair, but likewise, we have a mortgage.
  • I thought he could provide a service of helping with questions (which he already does) to everyone free of charge over whatsapp?
  • would people want Skype sessions?

Anyway, thank you.

The minute the broadcast went out he had a message from a very successful family (millions and millions, properties everywhere) once again asking him to tutor his children. I don't want this to be a case of the rich only succeeding which I fear it might.

Thanks. In general, DH always takes my advice so I wanted to know my audience.
