My 20year old son is having chemotherapy for bowel and liver cancer.I have a 7year old daughter attending school and although the Goverment are saying that schools should remain open for now,I'm wondering do I remove my daughter from school to protect my son?.There are no reported cases if Coronavirus within a 30mile radius of where we live so am I overreacting if I remove her from school.
Any advice greatly welcomed!

In your position I’d remove your daughter. There’s a strong possibility the schools will close very soon anyway.

Best wishes and good luck to you and your family Flowers

Thankyou Itsahardknocklife,he's had chemo today so his immune system will be compromised,I've been considering removing her for a few days now and I will ring the school and let them know. They are aware of my son's illness so I can't see it being an issue, like you say I think all schools will close on Friday anyway! Xx

Your DS is in the high risk group so you all need to self isolate where possible given he has to travel for treatment. My DH is in the same position as he is receiving radiotherapy so cant self isolate

We've been self isolating as much as we can,but I just don't feel comfortable sending her to school now as it's only a matter of time before there's a confirmed case close to home.Sorry to hear that your husband is ill too, this Coronavirus just adds to a very worrying and stressful time.
