Keeping up friendships for younger children (I know this is a minor consideration)

Prospect of months without seeing friends.

At least older children and adults have phones and social media to keep in touch but I’m worried that this will leave my son (7) really lonely. He’s already gutted that beavers has been cancelled.
He doesn’t have consoles to chat like that.
I guess he can email and write-maybe can borrow our phones to FaceTime if his friends can do the same?

With the other parents, set playdates online. My friend on Facebook said his DD was 'having lunch' with her little friend virtually.
