Will there be limits on every food item in lockdown?

I was thinking of sending a note through with our numbers to both elderly neighbours to say that if they are stuck etc to please call us and we'll get essentials when we pop out and drop if off at their door step etc. All our local deliveries are fully booked for weeks.

I feel awful even thinking like this but we have two young children and if we're all on strict limits I wouldn't be able to guarantee getting our neighbours the things they need as well as food for our dc.

I’m not sure how this works for bigger families, we are a family of 5, am I expected to go to the shop daily? What if I need to self isolate, I’m suppose to be socially distancing anyway Confused

Asda has already introduced limits on all food items.

You'll have to make separate trips to buy just what you need for your family. And then just what your neighbours need, and not more. So there's enough for everyone at all times.

Like all of us.

That's not the reason not to offer help.

Our local independent shops are saying they will deliver to those self isolating. If you look on FB there are a lot of smaller companies doing this- maybe worth a look.

quickly it's a very lovely thing you're thinking of doing.
