Parents are still going out to shops and saying it is all fine

Sorry to post another thread about DP not complying but I am getting increasingly frustrated with my parents not complying...

My DP have gone out to the supermarket today which is ok but then they told me they were going to buying a new vacuum cleaner from a different shop...Hmm

I am more vulnerable as I am 31 weeks pregnant and am trying to be staying in as much as I can. My DM says I have a big bee in my bonnet about them going to the shops and they have the early opening hours for the elderly and disabled because they can go out.Confused

I realise she is healthy and fit and has no underlying health conditions, but both my DP seem to think I am being over cautious and that I am taking it too seriously.

I genuinely worry that if something does happen and that they do become ill, they won't have been cautious enough. I know that we can't live others' lives for them and I do respect their decisions to do what they like, but when they say that they will be coming over on Sunday to visit us for Mother's Day, I get cross that they aren't being more careful.

I don’t think there’s a problem with buying a vacuum cleaner. If you’re stuck at home for a long time without one, that would be pretty miserable.

You don’t have to see them on Mother’s Day if you don’t want to.

Yes, I realise that they can do and buy what they like and I don't have to see them on Mother's day, no. But they are being so nonchalant about it all, and have said 'we won't get it'. Actually, my DM has been contradicting herself by saying she thinks that she should get it to help with the herd immunity.Hmm

They sound relaxed about it. Would you rather they be shitting themselves?

No of course not. I am not advocating mass hysteria and panic, I just care about them, that's all.
