French news outlets are reporting that the French pharmaceutical company Sanofi has promising results with COVID-19 patients on Planequil.

24 patients were given Planequil for six days, and 3/4s of them seemed treated of COVID-19. Possible side-effects and complications are currently unknown. Overdone of Planequil is a grave side-effect.

Planequil is a drug used in auto-immune disorders like Lupus.

Multiple French outlets are reporting on this, so I hope it's legitimate:

All links in French, they say pretty much the same thing. No english versions yet. No confirmation that the French health authorities might try this on larger numbers.

Maybe ask MN to change the name of the drug to just DRUG people possibly aren't clicking into it because they don't know what it is. Fantastic news thank you for this.

I'm interested. Thank you, let's hope this could be used to treat UK patients. We've been woefully unprepared so far so anything that is having a positive effect on CV should be taken on board.

Selon cette étude menée par le professeur Raoult sur 24 patients atteints du coronavirus, six jours après le début de la prise de Plaquenil, le virus avait disparu chez trois quarts des personnes traitées.

This looks really promising, of course we don't know any details.

This is interesting as there's also evidence from China that people with lupus were not being affected by the virus.

It can also be used for pregnant and nursing mothers.
