As a teacher, we have just as much knowledge about school closures as you do as parents!

No.. we don’t have an ‘insight’ as to when we will be closing.
No.. I can’t tell you before everyone else so you can plan your working hours.
No.. I am not hiding vital information from you!

As a parent, if think you might go into school asking this information, please think again!

Im a teacher, we haven’t been told we are closing and my head is very open with communication.

I had a message sent from NEU yesterday and they didn’t mention closure either - just self isolation for vulnerable staff and a plea to the government that schools want to remain open with skeleton staff for key workers.

Obviously this all depends on how many staff are well enough to keep a school running.

Ours is closing semi closing Friday. Online learning being sent out and asking parents to keep children home where possible.
