Work in a school - nasty cold, what to do?

I keep reading contradictory things about this. Basically I've got all the symptoms of a cold, including croaky voice, sneezing, a chesty/mucousy cough, stuffy nose. No high temperature. Can I just check that the general advice is that these are not symptoms of Corona? I just feel like I'm going to be getting the evil eye going in like this and I don't want to cause any anxiety, but equally I know staffing is an issue so won't self-isolate - unless I'm at somehow wrong about these symptoms? I feel a bit paranoid as I've read some accounts that say it can manifest in a similar way to a standard cold.

Thank you so much @SansaSnark.
We are rural and fairly humdeehum anyway, but I did some shopping today for a family I support and I just got a bit worried. Thank you.

Hope you are ok @PNomintrude, sorry for the hijack!

The wife of the man on the diamond cruise had a chesty cough according to him. It now says any cough.

@PNomintrude and @Noeuf, any NEW cough, however MILD and you isolate. Simples.

Ah. Just realised I’m two hours too late to the thread. My bad 🤣

Stay at home and recover. No one wants to be around poorly people at the moment. You could spread that to others who then need to see GP and we all need to help the nhs by staying as fit and healthy as possible and not spreading ANY bugs.

SouthWestmom · 18/03/2020 00:04

@Daphine2004 I don't have a cough?Hmm

PNomintrude · 18/03/2020 07:09

I think I was right about the symptoms actually, this explains it well:

Fair enough though, I don't want to be spreading any bugs around!
