nhs 111 have zero up to date guideance on covid?!

Hi there,

I am showinf symptoms, temp of 39.1 have a small baby and a partner in my household.

DP's job wanted us to call 111 to see if they needed to contact who he had been in contact with, i went online 111 service to see, was then told i MUST call up and speak to someone even if im waiting hours, i actually got through in minutes.

To a response of 'i dont have the news in front of me we arent allowed it, follow thar' i proceeded to ask about partners work anf he said 'you only need to isolate if you have a POSITIVE test for covid, yoyf partner is showing no symptoms so can go about his normal life, no problems as if he has no symptoms he doesnt have it'

Othsr guidance says as a family we must self isolate for 2 weeks regarding my symptoms of 39.1 temp and a cough....

Any one else had this? What on earth do i follow?!

What do i tell partners work??

Updated advice is that he should isolate for 14 days

@dementedpixie but surely nhs 111 should be telling people that? I callled tgem a matter of minutes ago and even AFTER stating that he said no go about normal day to day life.

Well yes they should

This is a farce! 111 are meant to be there to advise....

Plus I dont think they are tracing contacts in the same way they arent testing unless you're hospitalised

I know the guidance... I was assuming i would be told the same by our 111 service who are our health carw team! But i was told the complete opposite so im really confused.

We shall be isolatinf but i feel like i need fo do something about their service being wrong and misleading people!
