Me

brook06 · 17/03/2020 19:36

Me too. For two weeks while several staff self isolate.

IceColdCat · 17/03/2020 19:38

Still open here

Whattheduck · 17/03/2020 19:40

Dd’s School still open but I had to fetch her today as had a sore throat (not unusual for her) and she now has a high temperature so will now be off for 2 weeks
As she was signing out she counted 23 people who had been sent home to self isolate and it was only 11.00 so think it will close this week
She said there were loads off already which was very noticeable at drop off time

tigerbear · 17/03/2020 19:41

Yup.
All of the children came out of school with work packs and folders, but we weren’t told anything then.
About 2 hours ago; the Head emailed everyone to say as of tomorrow, they’ll be closed until Friday, then they’ll let us know plans beyond that
She said that they have no choice but to close now, as they don’t have enough staff 🙁

SeaViewBliss · 17/03/2020 19:44

DS y10 has gone to a 4 day week. Years 8,9 and 10 each only doing 4 days so 1 year group off at a time.

School are trying really hard to keep years 7 and 11 in school for as long as possible.

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 17/03/2020 19:50

Same here tigerbear. Worrying about next week, although by then we could be in a government enforced closure situation.

iMatter · 17/03/2020 19:54

7, 8 and 9 all "learning from home" as from tomorrow

10 - 13 going in as normal

ProfessorPootle · 17/03/2020 19:57

Nope, still open, hardly anyone off as well (staff or students) so no signs it’ll close soon. It’s a very large junior school in sw London , 4 form entry so 480 kids

namechangedyetagain · 17/03/2020 20:00

Years 7-9 chatting on xbox learning from home tomorrow.
Years 10-13 still in.

Dds primary school still open.

DirtyTicket · 17/03/2020 20:03

Both my kid's schools are open. The oldest one's school sent over 50 kids home today from her year alone, and that was with a teacher going to each child and asking them about symptoms. Oldest came out of school feeling unwell but it appears to be an upset stomach.

elliejjtiny · 17/03/2020 20:07

Still open. Although we've had a letter from the dc's primary about the work they are expected to do at home so I think it won't be long.

Afolnerd · 17/03/2020 20:12

Nursery still open
Primary school still open
Secondary years 8 and 9 off due to staff shortage
So I have 1 of my 4 Kids off, I imagine by Monday all but the one in year 11 will be off.

JoyceByersWasRight · 17/03/2020 20:13

Me. YR6 DD sent home today with a letter and a Jam packed mamouth timetable with advice that children will need adult support with it - no online teaching support. Fucking great, I'm a health care professional winding down my own caseload so that I can prepare to support front line services in the coming weeks, but now I won't be able to.

Gutted.

And now, I'll have to try and do non urgent work at home whilst trying to ensure that DD is home educated.

DD is stressing out about the workload whilst worrying what will happen if mummy and daddy both die.

1happyhippie · 17/03/2020 20:20

One closed from tomorrow for all years except 7 and 11.
Other one still operating as normal, not many dc off and just the one teacher so far.

neddle · 17/03/2020 20:30

One school out of five closed here.
Initially, they were going to be open for years 7 and 11 only (no sixth form), then texted at 3.30 to say there was a case in the school community and would be closed for cleaning for two days.

Zacharyezrarawlings · 17/03/2020 20:33

Our school is open for years 7,11 and 13 tomorrow. I've got 4 DC at the school in yrs 7,9,11 and 13.I've got one very happy Yr 9 dd tonight plus a very grumpy Y7. In fairness my yr11 and yr 13 sc are both relieved they can go in.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 17/03/2020 20:33

DS's primary is still open, no sign of closing yet, his teacher sent a message to the app reminding us of things we need to send in with him tomorrow.

BeansOnToast4T · 17/03/2020 20:34

Me - special school, closed indefinitely from today.
