Corona virus and crime

Have a family member working in the criminal justice area . Apparently police are not arresting people for crimes because of the virus , enclosed cells etc and people are not being brought before the courts .
How long before that message gets out to criminals ?

Perhaps the police, like the NHS, will need to make sensible decisions about what to prioritise for a while. They will prioritise criminals that pose the greatest danger to the public. It will be ok.

That's certainly not happening in Scotland

There are precautions being taken when cops go to calls and if anyone who's been self isolating or showing symptoms or deemed high risk is arrested they go to a specific station.

That’s not happening in my force. We’re all in, and still dealing with anything and everything. The advice we’ve had is basically...don’t get coughed on.
