To be worried about my mum who works in retail?

My mum works part time in a high street shop. She is 55. How worried should I be about her? She doesn't have any health conditions other than slightly high blood pressure.
Also I have asthma and a young toddler, should I be worried about her visiting me?

I’m not sure but I’m also worried about my mum, same age range and she’s a paramedic. I think if she’s generally healthy there’s no need to panic but with your asthma maybe an issue!

same op! My mum is a heavy smoker and I so wish she could stay home, but then that brings its own set of problems. I'm so worried.

Op, your mum is 55 as am I. I also have slightly raised blood pressure, for which I'm taking meds - as is your mum, probably. I'm concerned but not overly worried about this, and at the moment I am going to work as normal.

We are not elderly, our risk isn't that much higher than someone in their 40s. Please try not to worry about her. If it helps, I'm not too worried about myself. I'd hate it if I thought my 20-something DC were worried about me.

Because of your asthma you might want to keep your distance, but please don't fret about an otherwise healthy 55 year old. We are NOT old!
