I am unwell, flu symptoms, not convinced it is Corona but following 7 day self-isolation protocol. DH works from home but is part of coordinating Corona policy communications for a massive govt dept and is drowning in work/ conference calls and emails. In between bringing me cups of tea.

Three kids between 11 and 15 one ASD/ADD one ASD (and doing GCSEs this spring). I am juggling feeling pants, emailing teachers for work for kids, checking kids are doing said work without going near them. Trying to keep an eye on incredibly stressed DH. I feel ok if I lie around but I cannot complete sentences without taking a breath, and if I get up to do stuff I have to lie down to recover, my ribs feel bruised, my head is mushy.

It would not be so bad if I could help but I have to isolate within the house. Just hope I recover soon. My employer has been good so when I am fit to work I can do so from home at least. I won't lose wages.

How are other parents of school age kids managing the home/ school communications and staying sane.

As far as schools go this probably won't make much difference as I expect them to close, but just to make your day a bit harder, the isolation period is now 14 days not 7. Sorry Thanks

Sorry yes I know household isolation will be 14 days but my self isolation is 7 days - iyswim. After that assuming no feel better I can free roam within the house. It is constantly changing of course.
