Is your employer keeping you safe?

This government is telling us to work from home if we can and I’ve just been invited to a meeting about something that is neither important or urgent with at least 15 other people! Am I right in thinking that it's reckless practices like this by employers that will cause this pandemic to get worse?

My employer has been really great! I am on WFH all week , assessed the end of this week.

Anyone who gets public transport, WFH

Sick or anyone at home sick, WFH

if schools shut, still WFH , flexible around it.

Lots of other precautions!

I'm glad your employer is taking steps now. I think senior management at my company are too concerned about what is going to happen in weeks or months down the line. They are just trying to keep things 'normal' for now. But they don't seem to understand they we were should behave has changed.

Ha! No - I work in a school!

My DH's isn't. All those who visit clients are banned from the office to protect office staff (doorstep pick ups for essential kit) but no effort to check clients aren't supposed to be isolating or limit work to urgent/emergency tasks...

Until this week they were expected to wait in the overcrowded office between calls but at least they can do paperwork at home in gaps now!

My company is great. It's a sector which lends itself to home working - I've been doing it for 25 years, back from the times when it was technologically difficult. But the attitude is good too, prioritising people's well-being.

No I work in a private day nursery! We won't close until the schools close
