I look after a disabled lady twice a week. I drop her off to a day centre which she stays at all day.
This centre takes around 50 odd people each day. The people their have varying conditions such as ms, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer’s and other physical disabilities. Each winter there are many hospitalised when they get a bad virus or flu.
I’m a little taken aback today to find it’s business as usual there and they have no plans to close yet.
I’m not only concerned for the lady I help and the other users of the centre but I am also a carer for my mum who has a heart complaint, a blood disorder and Alzheimer’s and worry about passing anything to her.
I can’t help but think this centre should be considering closing for a while.
