Why is govt advice different to WHO about isolating households?

My family are currently isolating for 14 days as dd has been really ill since Friday evening. But, I’m confused as the govt say isolate for 2 weeks if someone in family/household is unwell yet the WHO stated yesterday that the entire household must continue to self isolate for 14 days AFTER the symptoms have ended. I’m not sure what to think. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I reckon the UK Government will probably change their guidance to match the WHO's in a few days' time, so it's not such a shock to the public.
