Places like Centerparcs; what do we think?

Yes as it the very definition of a mass gathering.

Goostacean · 17/03/2020 09:12

Agreed but when? They’ve not made any announcements yet...

I wouldn't go even if we'd booked TBH.

Figgygal · 17/03/2020 09:17

I think they should but don’t think they will until they’re made to.

With the amount of money they’ll lose over the Easter break without being made to close will influence them and will influence the people booked

I follow butlins/park dean/haven on Facebook and based on the comments there people are continuing with their plans

CheriLittlebottom · 17/03/2020 09:18

Meant to be going in May. Gutted that we now probably won't be able to. Waiting to see what happens for now.

Goostacean · 17/03/2020 09:18

We’ve not but it’s caused a major family argument, and I’m wondering whether our decision will be vindicated today by closures.

The government will not allow 1000s of people from all over the UK to congregate in a holiday park at the Easter break. Suspect closure will be mandated.

Goostacean · 17/03/2020 09:57

I agree, I just wonder when they’ll make that decision. Seems ridiculous to ask people not to travel unnecessarily, but leave opportunities like this open.

I got an answer to my question: Centerparcs are closing from Friday. People already there are welcome to leave but no comment on any refunds or similar for those already there if they do take that option.

We're due to go to a holiday park at Easter, I won't be cancelling but I'm assuming they will close eventually and I'll get a refund. I have insurance if one of us is poorly.

I am on a Holiday park now - arrived Sunday. Apart from collecting the accommodation key we have had no contact with staff. Those doors I did walk through there were hand gel to use. Before I entered the accommodation I used my own anti bac spray to clean all surfaces and handles. We haven't been asked to leave and you can at the moment still book here for next week. We are due to leave Monday.

Figgygal · 18/03/2020 13:08

I see even butlins have closed now for a month
