Covid
Selfish but no idea what to do

Isolating with two kids under 3 in a confined space is sending me over the edge. Would be good to have some hive mind opinions about what to do in this situation.
We have a big holiday planned in May. When I say big I mean once in a lifetime sabbatical from work big. Destination is Spain.
We have booked accommodation with Airbnb. They are currently offering full refunds for trips booked before mid March and due to begin mid April. No info on anything after.
On our reservation it now says we can ask for a full refund but that's not guaranteed.
If we choose to cancel now we are guaranteed to get half of the money back. If we leave the booking there for now, then end up still not able to go, we will have missed the deadline for cancellation and only be entitled to an admin fee back.
My DH thinks Airbnb will extend their full refund policy to cover our dates. I've had a message from one host to say they think if we can't travel at all then Airbnb will do a full refund too.
Sorry that's so garbled but what would you do?
PurpleDaisies · 17/03/2020 08:23
Cancel now. You can always book something else if it becomes safe to travel again.
NotTerfNorCis · 17/03/2020 08:24
I'm sorry but I think you need to cancel. You might have trouble getting there and back anyway.
HasaDigaEebowai · 17/03/2020 08:24
Leave it until the last possible date to get half of the money back. By then they might have moved the dates.
OnlyFoolsnMothers · 17/03/2020 08:28
I’d wait I recon they will extend the cancellation period

Thanks all. Ok I'm going to leave any decision until the last point that we could get half back. And see what happens.
