Going for a run / walk in a park etc

Any other runners about ? Can I ask ...Are you still going to run?

The main thing I do it for is my mental health as it really helps me, so I would hate to not do it

Also how about walking in open spaces like country parks etc? As my dc will be climbing the walls if we can't go out at the weekend 🤦‍♀️

Guidelines say outside exercise is fine, just keep your distance from people. :) I'm still running, until we're told not to!

Rosegoldglass · 17/03/2020 07:58

Yes, I will. Not going to gym or swimming but running solo yes.

Zacharyezrarawlings · 17/03/2020 07:59

they have actually said you can go outside for exercise even when self isolating if you keep your distance from others. I am lucky because I can run in fields and woods near my house without seeing anyone at all so I will be doing that if needs be.

megletthesecond · 17/03/2020 08:00

Yes. We can easily access quiet space though.

Selfsettling3 · 17/03/2020 08:01

If you are self isolating you can’t if you are social distancing you can

OffTheShelfElf · 17/03/2020 08:01

I run in the countryside and hardly see anyone anyway, so it's very low-risk. So yes, I'm still running.

somewheresorted · 17/03/2020 08:01

Yes I’ll definitely be running 🏃‍♀️

mammothtrain · 17/03/2020 08:01

I used to run outside and then converted to the gym. The idea of no gym when I go 5 days a week is stressing me out, so I've taken to running outside again...

I live rurally anyway and just cross the road if I see someone ahead, so I'm literally near no one!

PurpleDaisies · 17/03/2020 08:02

Yes. I am very loosely calling myself a runner and am only really taking it up because going to gym classes is off.

MummyPop00 · 17/03/2020 08:05

I will be on my bike as per usual.

The problem is the numbers of riders/runners/walkers/public park aerobics etc may be about to increase LOTS with people not going to gyms. So, may not be as easy to keep distance as it was!

DianneWhatcock · 17/03/2020 08:07

Phew 😅

Glad others think it's ok

I'm not self isolating as not poorly, I'd think twice if that was the case
