Toddler has a cough but I know what’s causing it

My 17 month old DS is teething badly at the moment. He’s constantly dribbling, now he hasn’t coughed all day, but as soon as we’ve put him down to sleep laying down he’s been coughing. I can tell it’s his salvia because of the noises.
Do I still have to isolate us all for 14 days as he’s been coughing? Although it’s obvious it’s a build up of salvia when laying down?

I've never noticed that as a side effect of teething tbh.

Pretty sure coughing isn’t a side effect of teething!!!

Both my kids - now past toddlerhood - were the same when teething. I can understand OP. Have you tried Ashton and Parsons? Worked amazingly for my two. I don't know what I would do in place as social pressures and obligations and playing safe are key now but mine definitely had a cough and tons of drool when teething.

I don’t mean a side effect of teething, but he gets a build up of dribble and it seems to go down the back of his throat and make him cough as he’s been the same in the past, just wondering what to do. He doesn’t have a fever.

@Firecracker2019 thank you, at least I feel like I’m not crazy!
