The scale in both cost of human lives, Job losses and staggering shifts in global stock markets and yet not a single gun or rocket was fired. Trillions of dollars worth of warfare that could flatten whole cities thousands of miles away. But that costs money both in warfare and rebuilds. Germ warfare is brutally effective, silent, lethal, panic inducing.

If terrorists ever wanted to know how to overcome global superpowers this must surely be it.

I dread to imagine what the next pandemic will bring.

Yes and no. This is a hideous Time but we will come out different and stronger for it. I think we will come out that bit more vigilant about hand washing, sanitising and having a good stock of tins and packet at home, companies will adapt to remote working so if a sniff of something like this happens again we can shut down quicker.
