I'm sure no one has the answer as these are unprecedented times, but does anyone have an informed opinion?

I'm 6 months into mat leave, have arranged to take a calender year. I'm just wondering if I can be recalled early, there is nothing in my contract but of course there was never a Covid clause in anyone's contract...

Hey I'm a nurse as well on mat leave only 2 months into it. I don't think they can make you go back early, but they might ask you to do a keep in touch day. Last time I was mat leave 2 years ago I was planning to do all my keep in touch days and was asked to do switch days to a day we were short on.

That's interesting, so you were in the numbers for your KUT days?
All my stat man training has probably expired so that would take a few days to do anyhow. I'm wondering about offering to do a few bank shifts, but that would probably cock up my mat pay knowing payroll Hmm

DO NOT do bank work whilst on mat leave. It will very likely mess with your mat pay. I can't comment on the KIT days, this situation is more or less unprecedented but I know bank work on mat leave= A nightmare from a lot of my colleagues' experiences.

Yes but I work in the community, I don't know how it would work on the bank but you do get paid for doing your KIT days on top of your mat pay.

You are not allowed to do bank work while on mat leave
