Airbnb host here. Should I cancel these guests ?

We have various guests due to stay over the spring/summer and Airbnb have allowed either hosts or guests to cancel over the next month without penalty. While I really hate to spoil our guests plans I'm thinking in the current climate I should cancel their visits. They are all visiting from London which I understand is slightly more advanced than other locations in terms of CV progress. Other reasons -There is an older population locally. With the advice not to go to pubs it means there will be limited options for places to eat. I will be doing the cleaning and I have asthma. I am able to give our guests a bit of notice but feel a bit rubbish letting them down. I think I know the answer though.

Yes of course you should

Yes, cancel. They shouldn't be travelling anyway.

Flowers tough, tough times for small business owners.

Yy cancel

AnnaMagnani · 16/03/2020 21:02

Depends why they are travelling and if you know them.

I am a regular AirBnB guest for work - my host has already set up that we handwash at the door, we barely cross paths. Both myself and the host are in healthcare so will be still going to work and acutely aware of when to self-isolate.

However a family coming for a holiday, I'd be inclined to cancel.

Cancel for sure. Good for everyone.
