Should dd give up her job?

Dd 16 is in Year 11. She gets the public bus to school, is at a big school and works as a waitress is a busy cafe at weekends - she could serve 150 people per shift.

Do you think she should give up her job for now? I'm not happy with the level of contract she has with so many people.

What would you do?

I would, personally

Well if people follow the most recent advice there won’t be many customers in the cafe anyway.

VivaLeBeaver · 16/03/2020 18:46

She’s just as likely to catch it in the bus or at school.

Yes, people shouldn't be going out, but of course some will.

I know she's coming into contact with a lot of people; it's about minimising her risk.

I can understand your concern, my DS who is 18 has just given up his job, he worked in a small supermarket, lots of customers and cash handling. As I have an autoimmune condition, we felt it was too much risk incase CV was passed onto me, so we are stuck at home for the next 12 wks, his boss has been really kind and said he would hold the job open for a couple of weeks, but I am sure after the news today that offer won’t extend to 12 wks, but it was kind to offer as DS left at very short notice.
