There doesn't seem to be that much info about from people who have definitely been confirmed as having CV. Does anyone know anyone who has had it confirmed via tests and what it feels like? I realise this is statistically unlikely as the government in their fucking stupidity wisdom have decided not to test in the community?

I was woken at 3am by a cough out of nowhere - it felt exactly as though I had had a drink that went down the wrong way - a sudden "catchy" cough. It was hard to catch my breath. It hasn't fucking stopped basically. It's dry and feels scratchy at the very top of my throat.

I feel run down generally anyway as have ^^ just got over a bad chest infection (and have bad lungs from a couple of bouts of pleurisy) but my previous cough was "wet" and phlegmy. This is very dry and hoarse. My temp is only 37.7 so not very high.

(I have Sjögren's syndrome as part of a connective tissue disease which affects fluid production etc (hence the pleurisy) and also makes you feel a bit shit generally so that doesn't help).

I'm sincerely hoping this is just a bad cold at the tail end of my chest infection but this cough feels different from anything I've had before, even from the Sjogrens.

I'm just wondering where I should be on The Worry Scale of 1-10. DH is at about 212 Smile
