Of course our thermometer is broken and I can't find one locally.

She looks very poorly. I've put her to bed.

She played sport yesterday. Just thinking whether i should contact the team manager. Shall I wait and see how she is in a couple of hours (would be my normal reaction)

I would, I would want them to be able to contact the other parents to be on the look out for symptoms.

Don't go straight to CV, keep an eye out for meningitis red flags as well.

Tonyaster · 16/03/2020 09:31

Thats what i was thinking. The lack of testing is stupid. If she's clear dh and I can carry on as normal, as it is we'll have to self isolate and damage the economy further by not being able to run our business properly!

If she doesn't improve with paracetamol I might ring 111 (awaits beasting from angry mnetters). Good point about meningitis.

How is she?

ViciousJackdaw · 16/03/2020 18:54

No beasting from me, that's exactly what we are supposed to do. Treat as you normally would and call 111 if no improvement. Best wishes to you all.

She feels hot, but i managed to borrow a thermometer and no fever. Nasty headache though. Dd2 is now complaining of a tight chest and bad back and joint pain Sad

OP that sounds awful, do you have paracetamol?

Can you all stay home? The guidance yesterday was whole house quarantine for 14 days.

MarshaBradyo · 17/03/2020 05:17

You all need to self isolate for two weeks.
