Does anyone have info re cardio issues & risk?

My dh has DCM, but v early stages. He's early 30s. We really can't tell whether he should go into isolation or not.

He is on ACE inhibitors & beta blockers, but again v low doses.

I've read 13% for cardiovascular disease, but it covers such a range! He's essentially well, just a bit more tired than other men his age.

Anyone have any further information? Especially contributing morbidities in any young deaths.

To clarify, he's already working from home, but we have 4 children who I'm show will all carry out into the home. We're wondering about isolation with an older relative when they go into lockdown.

Is there any specific information on websites for this condition? I have lung disease and there is info published about levels of lung function and corona risk level.

I am mild (lung function 75%) and my risk profile is the same as normal population (those with 50-70% lung function are same as elderly/underlying health conditions). But it is a continuum and not fixed. I am 39.

Similar thoughts - to isolate or not. I probably won't completely but have decided I will observe the 2 metre rule with everybody- friends, family etc. One on one meetups will be easier. Arrange Skype social gatherings for multiple friends. Go jogging rather than the gym. Just trying to think of acceptable changes that will not put everything on hold.

It seems as though ACE inhibitors may be implicated as a risk factor. My DH has 59, controlled hypertension, atrial fibrillation so quite worried and looked into it. It seems that some of the other meds might be better - if they work for the individual, hypertension has different causes - as it happens ACE inhibitors didn't help him so he's on calcium channel blockers anyway. He's also on a low dose of beta blockers, he's thought through what effect those have on him and reckons they're probably not problematic. Obviously ideally your DH should get advice from his doctor.

I have two serious heart problems, a sudden death syndrome (ICD and cardiac drugs) and I have recently developed a severe valve problem which needs an urgent repair.

No one can give precise figures or make predictions for any individual. For me it doesn’t matter whether its an increased risk of 5% or50%, I’m doing everything I can to minimise contracting the virus.
