With all this uncertainty - please don’t forget the food banks!

Just a wee reminder - If you can, please add an extra item to the food banks when you do your shop - especially those items that people are going crazy over.

With the prospect of schools closing and the elderly being isolated, with zero contract workers and those working in hospitality being at risk... I guess we all need to make sure everyone around us is ok.

Also the charities that work with the homeless - or those that provide a safe haven for children and young people.

Ok lecture over - I know everyone knows this, I just wanted to say it... (I’m a big bossy boots Blush).

Good job, this is so important! More people than ever will be needing foodbanks, especially if we go into lockdown.

Another thing - if people can afford it, consider buying a voucher from local shops or cafes to help tide them over while custom is much less.

Yes absolutely!

Gosh yes - I feel sorry for independent cafes/bars/restaurants... people pour their life savings into these things - and ‘puff’, I suppose you can’t insure against this!

And as for the people acting like arses in the shops - a man was screaming at a till assistant because it was 5 mins to 12 and the tills didn’t open until 12. Yes there was queues - there always is in that store just before the tills open! He was a big bully (only buying a couple of non panic purchase goods) - and many shoppers told him that. And he was at the front of the queue. Grrrrr.

And it looks like a recession is coming (it was on its way anyway but this is just shoving it over the edge!).
