I work in a large secondary school where hygiene practices are... questionable

Started this weekend with a sore throat which gradually got worse (but not terrible) but I've been unable to sleep tonight due to a cough. It's a weird cough, there's mucus there (sorry TMI) but it's not being coughed up and I feel like I'm swallowing it a lot instead. Bleugh. No temperature/fever though.

DH is very blasé "ah it's just a cough" but it's the dreaded Corona isn't it?!

Have just emailed work anyway. At least fridge is stocked up and I've got a couple of loo rolls. Confused

Yes with a cold you are sneezing, snotty sore nose. With CV you wouldn't tend to get that. CV affecting the lungs more than upper airways like a cold would.

Hi OP we've all had exactly the symptoms you describe. Sadly I dont think it is coronavirus (would love to have got it over with so lightly). We are all self isolating but no-one has any fever and no really bad chest has developed. Just endless headaches and sore throat and , yes, the snot down the back of the throat thing. 16 days and counting for me so far.Sad

Not everyone is getting a fever. I would just assume if you have a new persistent cough it's CV.

I think I've got it. Tight and uncomfortable chest and a niggly cough. No temperature yet. No snot or sneezing. Started yesterday and it's worse now.

Im totall paranoid if i cough - it's crazy.

I've never been so conscious of coughing or how my body feels as since this kicked off.
