In Superdrug today a woman was being helped by a young assistant. Woman put the tester lipstick all over her lips then the assistant put it straight back in its place.

Cue my intervention.

Are you actually going to put that back for other people to use? Er, yeah.
Even though that customer just slathered it all over her lips? Yeah.
Really? Yeah. OK, I can wipe it if you like.

That would be unhygienic and inappropriate at any time. How odd.

Did you get their names?
I would email HO.

Yes, got manager, gave her my opinion. Manager agreed with me, I suggested training and contacted head office but it did worry me. Some people aren't all that bright.

That's good. But to be honest I would still follow up with a complaint. It can be done over Facebook now.

I saw a young lad picking up toy whistles in a gift shop, give them a test blow, then put them back in the display. He was merrily working his way through the range until I gently intervened. I mentioned it to the assistant and she just laughed awkwardly.

I can understand a kid being a bit daft much more than the Superdrug assistant though. Urgh.

I don't think it's got anything to do with the corona virus, it's grim and unhygienic at anytime
