If you have a non covid-19/ old cough?

Are you expecting people to say something if you aren’t in isolation?
Dd (4) has had a cough for weeks. Probably 6 weeks total. She had antibiotics and has since been told it will pass. She also has had chicken pox this week. Crusted over and we just got home from the park which is her first outing in 6 days. Someone left the park when the saw her (arrived after us and stayed less than 5 mins so it almost certainly was her) and on the way back she coughed and I am feeling really self conscious now. Any one expecting to be treated like a leper?

I think you're over thinking it. That person could have left the park for any reason. I doubt your daughter was the reason.

I would of left the park too. Just for my own sanity.

People are acting nuts, I was just called a bitch on Facebook because I said not everyone with a cough has corona, I was called dirty, unhygienic etc, so yeh I think some people are going to be acting horrible in public towards people, I’ve seen some very hysterical comments

I know what you mean. My dd (5) is at the tail end of a cough caused by a cold a couple of weeks ago. She coughed on the bus 2 days ago and someone moved seats. She always gets a cough when she gets a snotty nose, all the mucus I suppose. I think we are gonna see more of this till it all passes tbh.

According to some people on here, your unintelligent, thick and selfish if you don't self isolate/kill yourself if you cough or sneeze. I think things will only get worse.

I have a nasty cough (head cold too) and am very self conscious about it, have barely been outside for days. It does sound truly dreadful but it's definitely just a cough-and-cold-and-sore throat.
So I sympathise!

Exactly my thoughts Meanieshidden. I fear we are going to be treated awfully!

My entire family has got "old" coughs -almost to the point of investigate old - as has most of DC1's class. The only place we don't get dirty looks is in the playground before school -because all the kids and 50% of the adults have had the same thing!
