Coronavirus and immune suppressants

Hi all

Have you read any advice about coronavirus and immune suppressants? I take methotrexate for my autoimmune condition.

Apart from that, I don't smoke, I don't drink, I exercise, I eat very healthily.

I know that being immune suppressed puts me more at risk and I'm cleaning and washing my hands continuously but unfortunately I need to go to work in London and use the tube regularly.

Any further advice? Has anyone read anything (statistics) about the gravity of the coronavirus when on immune suppressants? I'm in my 40s

Thanks

I cannot find the research but there was a study that said being on them could actually act as a protective measure if you have corona as it stops the body's immune system creating a cytokine storm.

There is some research that taking high strength vit D helps prevent respiratory infections. I have mild lung disease and touch wood have not had many chest infections. Take care.

Thanks, I've been taking vitamin D for at least 10 years, I'm on 4000iu now but did a month of 10,000.

Despite that it's not that high but as I said I've been on it, uninterrupted for 10 years.

Fingers crossed
